Shutter Island is a horror/suspense/thriller/drama film directed by Martin Scorsese with lead stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Emily Mortimer and Mark Ruffalo. The movie is rated R under Paramount Pictures.
Shutter Island is based on the 2003 novel written by Dennis Lehane. The story showed the hospital Ashecliffe in the Shutter Island where two deputy investigate the disappearance of a criminal insane patient named Rachel Solando. The horrifying events were revealed on the two of them when they get stucked on the island due to the hurricane that come upon them. As a hurricane cuts off communication with the mainland, more dangerous criminals “escape” in the confusion, and the puzzling, improbable clues multiply, Teddy begins to doubt everything – his memory, his partner, even his own sanity.
Shutter Island has been a solid film. Once they start questioning things it pretty much is clear that is the way they are going to go.
